A Walk Turned Into a Meeting With a Little Snake

Yesterday, my partner and I decided to go for a walk to soak up some fresh air and enjoy nature. We headed to Kringelstien in Ballerup, a trail I can wholeheartedly recommend if you’ve never been there before. It’s a truly beautiful and peaceful spot, perfect for slowing down and just taking in the surroundings.

Of course, I brought my camera along—because you never know what surprises nature has in store. And sure enough, halfway through our walk, my partner suddenly spotted a small grass snake making its way across a gravel path.

I rushed over, eager to get as close as possible without disturbing it. The last thing I wanted was to stress the little creature, so I kept a respectful distance. Luckily, I still managed to capture a lovely shot—its tongue flicking out at just the right moment.

The snake seemed completely harmless, and the encounter left us with a simple but memorable experience to carry with us from the walk. Sometimes, it’s these unexpected little moments that make time in nature so rewarding.
